Starting Saturday July 18, 2026 at Pinellas Park UFC GYM, Professor Caio Terra was with us for a week giving a seminar for the local community and spending a week instructing the members of UFC GYM/ Indomitus Jiu Jitsu. We had a huge turnout and a great time was had by all. Everyone was talking about how they feel like they levelled up their game. We like to thank Professor Terra for his dedication to the art and giving his time to our academy. It is greatly appreciated. Keep updated for the next legend coming to instruct. ADCC WORLDS 2026
Professor Yuri has accepted an offer to be the SUPER FIGHT at ADCC WORLDS 2026 in Krakow, Poland on September 12-13. You can catch him on TV or online for that event! He will be training along side you everyday getting ready to win another World Championship!
BACK TO SCHOOL KIDS CLASS
The summer is ending and we are moving to school year hours. All kids classes Monday - Friday will start at 5-6PM. The July and Aug promotion period ends the last day of August. Youth who have attended 20 classes for the two-month period will receive a stripe or belt promotion. The new promotion period runs from Sept- Oct. 21 classes over the two-month period will receive a promotion.
UNIFORM
Wear the correct uniform for your class. This includes a belt for all classes to receive promotions.
NEW UNIFORMS
We are finalizing details to order uniforms for both kids and adults. The sign-up sheet is in the Jiu Jitsu room in the yellow folder. A size chart is provided. No money now, just let us know what you want to order and your sizes. Before the year is out we will be moving to a mandatory uniform policy to train. This will help provide team cohesion, uniformity, and a more professional atmosphere to train in one of the best coaches in the world. On the mat we are all the same. We are all on our journey in pursuit of mastering jiu jitsu. It doesn't matter what your career or job is, what your social status is, how wealthy you are, or how old you are, we are all the same on the mat and will look the part.
FUTURE COMPETITION ANNOUNCEMENTS
We are constructing an area in the jiu jitsu room where you will be able to see all the future competitions coming up at a glance. These will include IBJJF, JJWL, ADCC, Freestyle Grapplers, etc. This board will be in four groups: all relevant kids competitions, adult local competitions, adult regional competitions, and adult National/ Global Competitions.

Three time ADCC World Champion and four time IBJJF NO-GI World Champion, fourth degree black belt Yuri Simoes is backed up by a staff of numerous highly skilled brown and black belts with a combined experience of over 100 years. Come try us out. Your first class is free.

IJJ is Co-located at UFC GYM. We have state-of-the-art facilities that include a fully equipped gym, a variety of martial arts classes, and amenities like a recovery room, showers and lockers. Youth Jiu Jitsu Program
Youth Jiu Jitsu classes are Monday- Friday.
Monday and Wednesday are general jiu jitsu for all ages. Gi or No-Gi. Wear your belt for every class to receive promotions and stripes.
Tuesday and Wednesday are competition classes for youth 10 and up.
Friday is BULLY PROOFING and KIDNAPPING PREVENTION.
IJJ follows the IBJJF rules for promotion of youth. Go to IBJJF.com; Section: Graduation for details.
Additionally a youth must have three years combined training to be promoted to blue belt at 16 years old.
